The course is broken down into modules which build on each other as the day progresses

  • How is your OSCE created? What is it designed to test?​

• How to Master the Domains

  • The blueprint, the scaffold and the key to every OSCE​

• The First 4 minutes – not just “reading time”!

  • Observe examples and practice how to maximise the first 4 minutes of your OSCE​

• Communication - The Central Domain

  • Understand why communication is the keystone to every OSCE, and how to practice and fine-tune this critical OSCE skill. 

• So what does a score of 7 actually look like?

  • Observe 'very high level of competence'  performances, understand what is required to achieve scores of 7

  • Become the examiner and assess an OSCE performance to develop an understanding of how an examiner approaches the assessment.

• Shake It Off! – How to salvage a poor performance (we all have them!)

  • How to stop a poor performance in one station from derailing your whole exam​

• An examiner’s perspective with Q&A

  • Your chance to ask a panel of examiners anything.

• A candidate’s perspective with Q&A

  • A recent OSCE candidate shares practical tips and tricks on how you might approach your exam​

• Putting it all together
